A member-owned flying club operating two well-equipped aircraft out of Joslin Field in Twin Falls.
Built for working pilots, students, and cross-country travelers — with low hourly rates,
three active instructors, and scheduling through Flight Circle.
A small, active flying community in southern Idaho.
The Magic Valley Aero Club is a member-owned flying club based at Joslin Field (KTWF) in
Twin Falls. We operate two complementary aircraft, share three instructors, and split costs
across an engaged roster of pilots — from working professionals knocking out cross-country
trips to students earning their first ratings.
What makes the club different
Most flying clubs are either too big to feel like a community or too small to keep airplanes
available. We're sized for both. Eighteen paying members across two aircraft means you can
almost always book the airplane you want — and you'll know everyone on the schedule.
We bill only for aircraft hourly time. Instruction is paid directly to your instructor,
keeping club economics simple and instructor rates competitive.
Who we're built for
Working pilots who want a reliable, low-cost ride. Students looking for a steady trainer
with patient instructors. Cross-country pilots who want a capable 182 with a modern panel
without owning one. We're also a good fit for newly minted private pilots looking to fly
more without the cost of ownership.
Home base. Joslin Field — Magic Valley Regional Airport (KTWF), Twin Falls, Idaho.
Founded. A continuously operating member-owned club since the late 1990s.
Scheduling. All booking, fueling, and billing runs through the Flight Circle app.
The Fleet
Two airplanes, picked to complement each other.
One is the cross-country machine. The other is the trainer. Between them, the club covers
almost everything a Magic Valley pilot wants to do — from pattern work at Joslin to runs over
the Sawtooths to McCall.
Insurance requires 10 hours dual in make/model before solo.

How to Join
Three steps.
We're a member-owned club, so new pilots are voted in by the existing membership.
The process is straightforward.
01
Reach out
Send us a quick note — your background, ratings, and what you're hoping to do with the club. We'll respond and set up a coffee or hangar visit.
02
Meet the club
Come fly with a current member or one of our instructors. We'll show you both airplanes, walk through scheduling, and answer every question you have before anyone signs anything.
03
Get voted in & join
The club meets the third Monday of each month at 7 PM at KTWF. New members are voted in at the meeting; once you're approved, you fill out the application, pay the buy-in and first month's dues, and you're on the schedule.
Interested? Let's talk.
One email goes to the right people in the club. We'll respond within a few days.
